Ineligibility Criteria for Pakistan Air Force Special Purpose Short Service Commission

A candidate is ineligible if he / she is:-

  1. Rejected by ISSB /GHQ / NHQ / AHQ selection boards.
    1. Twice rejected by ISSB for POST Grad Entry
    2. Twice rejected by ISSB for Intermediate / Graduate (PMA / Graduate / equivalent) and once rejected by ISSB or GHQ / NHQ / AHQ based selection boards.
    3. Once rejected by ISSB for Intermediate / Graduate (PMA / Graduate / equivalent) and Twice rejected by ISSB or GHQ / NHQ / AHQ based selection boards.
  2. Twice screened out by ISSB.
  3. Declared medically unfit due to Hepatitis B & C (Appeal Medical Board cannot be requested).
  4. Declared unfit by any Armed Forces Hospital except those cleared by Appeal Medical Board. However,candidate who get medically unfit for flying but fit for ground branches can undergo routine medical examination as normal candidate if they are desirous to join other arms.
  5. PUF (Permanently UNFIT) by Appeal Medical Boarda.
  6. Tested within four months (120 days) gap of previous appearance in ISSB except candidates granted waiver by DGPA. However, bar of 120 days in not applicable to candidates appearing in post Graduate GHQ / NHQ / AHQ based selection boards.
  7. Withdraw from any Armed Forces Academy / Training institution except on academics and medical grounds.
  8. Withdraw from any bonded Armed Forces college / institution on disciplinary grounds.
  9. Dismissed / Removed / Debarred / Resigned from Government Services including Armed Forces.
  10. Convicted in a court of law in Criminal Proceedings.
  11. Tempering of academic certificates / forgery to get undue advantage will make an applicant permanently ineligible for all types of Commission in Armed Forces.
  12. Thrice screened out by Army / Navy / Air Force during Preliminary selection.
  13. Give incomplete, false . wrongful information.

Selection Process For Pakistan Air Force Special Purpose Short Service Commission

Selection process is commenced with the publication of the advertisement in the news papers. The steps of the same are as under:

  1. Online registration / Visit nearest PAF Information & Selection Centre.
  2. Entrance test (Intelligence test followed by Academic Test in relevant subjects at respective I&SC).
  3. Preliminary Medical examination and Interview of the candidates who qualify the entrance test at I&S centre.
  4. Psycological Test of Short listed candidates only.
  5. Interview by First AHQ Special Selection Board.
  6. Final Medical Examination at CMB, Lahore.
  7. Interview by Second AHQ Special Selection Board for SSC (CSC) Candidates only.
  8. Final Selection on merit at Air Headquarters.
